We opted for the pretty plate featuring the state bird (cardinal) and tree/flower (dogwood). We have seen a few cardinals hanging around our front yard. Once we get some batteries in the binoculars, expect some bird shots!
Apart from the license plate, I think it really hit home that we are onto a new phase of our lives when our VA drivers licenses arrived in the mail:
Yes, they are that pale and ugly; and here I thought the ugliness of California licenses could not be outdone! They also don't let you smile, but notice Brando sneaked in his trademark grin. Way to fight the system, babe. Sadly, my CA license now has a huge "Void" punched out through the middle. Does this mean I am "voided" as a Californian?
